THE END

"There are things known and things unknown and in between are the doors." Jim Morrison

A wild personality, poetic lyrics, sexy voice, unpredictable and erratic performances. The original rock 'n' roll poet lies hidden in a Parisian cemetery. There is an uncomfortable crowdedness. It's an awkward juxtaposition. The mind altered me sees him breaching his grave, reaching for rescue, resembling the statue of liberty. He was at home wrestling with snakes in the dessert. He seems out of place entombed in French earth.

Apart from being impossibly handsome and rocking early versions of leather pants, the lizard king captured the chaotic voice of a confused and troubled generation. He interspersed music and lyrics to create a new sound. Sure, it was rock and roll. It sold records by the trunk load. More importantly, it was poetry. Not since John Keats have poems been a saleable commodity.

This will be the last post from me. It's been a wild ride. I have given it my all. I hope you have enjoyed it too. I am going to stand up on behalf of my wife and my children. I'm going to stand up for the great state of Victoria. I'm going to stand up to the oppressive regime who masquerade as governors. I'm going to respect the ANZACS and all those who fought and died for freedom. I can no longer sit idly as Melbourne burns.

“People are terrified to be set free – they hold on to their chains. They fight anyone who tries to break those chains. It’s their security… How can they expect me or anyone else to set them free if they don’t really want to be free?” Jim Morrison

The only thing that will set us free is the truth. #itstime
